چکیده

This paper investigates the effects of properties fresh concrete incorporating shredded Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) bottles and Manufactured Sand (M-sand) together as fine aggregates replacement in mixtures. The investigation to determine correlation were mainly experimental based experiments involved Slump Test, VeBe Test Compaction Factor Test. There two different batches prepared, which first batch was partially replaced by M-sand second PET aggregate replacements. proportion content with 25%, 50%, 75% 100% (for M-sand) 1.5% respectively. mix design prepared accordance Department Environment (DOE) method utilizes M30 Class Concrete. A novel empirical relationship between slump, VeBe, compaction factor for M-Sand proposed. outcomes this research has proven beneficial construction industries utilisation waste recycled materials potential sustainable construction.

An Investigation into the Use of Manufactured Sand as a 100% Replacement for Fine Aggregate in Concrete

Manufactured sand differs from natural sea and river dredged sand in its physical and mineralogical properties. These can be both beneficial and detrimental to the fresh and hardened properties of concrete. This paper presents the results of a laboratory study in which manufactured sand produced in an industry sized crushing plant was characterised with respect to its physical and mineralogical...

Strength Appraisal of Artificial Sand as Fine Aggregate in Sfrc

The huge quantity of concrete is consumed by the construction industry all over the world, probably second largest after water. In India, the conventional concrete is produced by using natural sand from riverbeds as fine aggregate. Dwindling sand resources poses the environmental problem and hence government restrictions on sand quarrying resulted in scarcity and significant increase in its cos...

Mechanical Properties of Manufactured-Sand Concrete after High Temperatures

In this paper, to study mechanical properties of manufactured-sand concrete after high temperatures, experiments on the residual strength of manufactured-sand concrete were carried out under high temperatures in which raw materials performances and concrete mixture proportion were considered. The mechanism of elevated temperatures on residual strength was theoretically discussed, and the calcul...

Optimization of fully replacement of natural sand by m-sand In high performance concrete with nanosilica

Abstract— In recent days the demand for river sand is increasing due to its lesser availability. Hence the practice of replacing river sand with M-Sand is taking a tremendous growth. It is also inferred from the literature that replacement of normal sand with M-Sand produces no appreciable increase in compressive strength due to the variation in the pore size of concrete at micro level. This pa...
